On how she felt after finding out she won the nationwide competition:

“Hindi ako makapaniwala nung una kasi nationwide – tanong ako ng tanong kay Mama: ‘Ako talaga yung nanalo?!’ Ang laki ng opportunity at achievement. Worth it lahat ng effort.”

On what art means to her:

Art is meant to express and to impress. Express kasi ikaw mismo na nag-draw nagbebenefit and to impress – na at this age kaya kong magdesign [kapantay nung] mataas ang antas sa society. In my own little way, I can make people smile – rich or poor, old or young, lahat.

On what this project means to her:

This project aims to help Operation Smile and a smile is a way to communicate [kung saan] nagkakaintindihan tayong lahat. A smile is all positive, no[thing] negative.

Jessica was kind enough to share with us some of her other works (we were so curious!) Enjoy!
